DAVE GILMOUR, ME
& BRIAN WILSON!

Last night I settled down to watch a music awards ceremony on TV and I got a mention!

Well, not by name, but never-the-less, I was mentioned. The programme was the showing of the 2006 UK Music Hall of Fame ceremony from earlier this week (November 14th), at Alexandra Palace in London.

The UK Music Hall Of Fame honours the influential music talents who have "provided the soundtrack to the lives of millions" aiming to recognise the most important artists of the past 50 years.

Last year Pink Floyd were inducted into the Music Hall Of Fame (alongside The Who, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix) but this year frontman Dave Gilmour inducted Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson.

In his introduction Dave referred to his first band (Jokers Wild) and how The Beach Boys were a huge influence on our harmonies and play list.

Brian Wilson performed a few of his classics, including 1966's Good Vibrations.
